Women are now more progressive as they were with treating breast cancer. Women are educating themselves more now that they are aware heart disease is a silent killer and is no longer a “man’s disease”. Although it is an ongoing effort just as it was with breast cancer, there are other coalitions and organizations like the Go Red for Women in place to educate women, and provide support. There are campaigns that raise money for women with heart disease.
