Driving Car: Lost Keys, And Driving Cars

Decent Essays
Lost Keys, and Driving Cars By the age of 10 I had not driven a car yet, but one day that changed. I was about to learn a very important lesson that day, although when i woke up I had no idea what would happen to me that day. It started out like any other day. I woke up late, after hitting the snooze button on my iPod a few times, to the sound of journey’s Any Way You Want It. I rushed out of bed, ran upstairs, and was greeted warmly by my mother. “Remember to take the keys and warm the vehicle up. It got frosted over last night and I need to get school early.”
“Okay mom,” I said.
Suddenly, a wave of hunger rushed over me. I walked over to the freezer, opened it, and scanned it for a few seconds, the way teens always do. “There’s no food

I opened up the freezer again and pulled out a loaf of toast. Remembering the frosted car I rushed into my mom 's room, pulling out her red purse from the armoire. After pulling the purse out, i rummaged through receipts, makeup, and other miscellaneous cards, until I found the keys to our, white, 2000, Ford Expedition. I pulled out my iPod and checked time, I had to hurry now, there was only ten minutes left before my mom had to leave to school. Thankfully, I did not have school today, it was friday and I never had school on …show more content…
So we sped off and minutes later we arrived at the school. my brother parked in front of the school, but i knew where i must go. This was the scariest part if driving that day for me and seconds later it became horrifying. I knew i had to park in the teachers section, and that there were other cars there. “What if I hit a car while parking,” I thought. “Mom, AND dad would both kill me. NO screwing up.” I turned to the small parking lot and what i saw next made my heart beat faster than a rabbit. Sitting there in the parking lot was my biggest fear, the police. “I’m dead, I’m dead,” i thought. I slowed down, and turned the blinker on. The next few seconds were compiled of overly intense focusing on the road ahead of me, and looking at the police officer. I slowly turned left and as I did I eyeballed the rearview mirror waiting for the white and blue car to flash the themes of red and blue, signaling my arrest. There was exactly one parking spot left. In between two shiny brand new cars. “Just my luck” i thought. Both cars were miraculously parked horribly. Both cars covering the yellow lines that signaled the boundaries of “my” parking spot. I jolted right a little (to get a better angle), and then maxed my wheel left. Covering the brake I eased into the spot wincingly. As soon as possible I stopped and put the car in park. Shutting off the car I thought about what might happen next. “I’m going to step out of the car and the cop will be

11:00 am I wake up to a perfectly clean room with a perfect breakfast: sausage, pancakes, bacon, and cinnamon rolls all sitting right next to my bed. I eat my breakfast and get ready for the day. I woke with a start at the obnoxious noise coming from my alarm. It was 9:00 a.m. on a Thursday, in the middle of the summer. Today, I was going to my favorite place in the world: the Tulsa State Fair. I dragged myself down the creaking stairs and into the family room, where I turned on the television. I then ate a bowl of cocoa puffs and went back upstairs to prepare myself for the day.…

Collision Conclusion Pieces of shattered, jagged glass surrounded me as I tasted the downpour of salty tears streaming down my face. I looked around appalled while the wet, gelid air moistened my hair and wondered; what would I do next? I had no control over what had just happened, but after a while, I knew everything was going to be okay. Like I always say, “weather good or bad, everything happens for a reason; the only thing we need to remember is to focus on the positive.” That day was like any wintry morning.…
