Imagine you’re driving down the road- running late to a concert- and you hit major traffic. You start to panic, but then remember it’s not a porblem, because your car turns into an airplane. Since the first car was created over 100 years ago, inventors have been coming up with different and unique ways to enhance the automobile. The Capsula, the Portable Plane Car, and the Dymaxion are all unique because of their design, they have never been produced to the public, and have never been done before. Whether they try and get a car to fly, or make a car that is envrnmentally friendly, inventors are always working to come up with the next best thing. It is small enough to fit in a garage or a large office. It has a rear wheel so you can drive from home to a runway, making it “Portable”. In the design created by Henry Ford, The Portable Plane car could fly from “Michigan to Florida on a single tank of gas” (4). Hoever when this was tested the plane crashed Into the ocean. This flying car would also be fairly cheep, pricing at around $500. The Dymaxion car isn’t a bus, or a van, but rather a 20 feet long, aluminum, teardrop-shape car. This vehical weighs “less than 1,000 pounds and has room for 11 passengers” (3). There is one door, no moving windows, a centered single rear wheel and two front wheels. It holds 30 to 50 miles per gallon and can accelerate to 120 miles per hour. Another really unique feature is the single headlight and the periscope to see around the car. Each of these cars has it’s own unique features and have never been released to the public before.
