The Cancer constellation originated from the Greeks and their mythology. The myth of Cancer consists of betrayal, cheating, and backstabbing. Zeus, the god of the sky had an affair with Alcmene, who was the queen of Tiryns. The ending of this dispute resulted in the birth of Hercules, which is argued to be the most famous Greek hero. Zeus’ wife Hera, was very upset when she found out the news and started to plan how to kill Hercules out of jealous rage. She failed of course many times because of Hercules’ great and powerful strength. She did however cast a spell on Hercules which made him commit some awful crimes.
