Beowulf, the hero of the story appropriately titled Beowulf, was a Geatish warrior who was well known throughout the land for his skills as a warrior and his great feats of heroism. Before the events of the story unfold, it is very apparent that this young hero, Beowulf, is bound to conquer any challenge placed before him. Before the call to arms by King Hrothgar, Beowulf lived a relatively normal life, or at least for a hero. Beowulf’s life consisted of primarily defeating foes, winning swimming matches, and enjoying the lavish luxuries of being the greatest Geatish hero, this was Beowulf’s Ordinary World.
