A string of miscalculated choices and the longing of a fresh start will drag Magda of the slums deeper and deeper into a tireless personal nightmare.

In the hard and merciless world of Troumba, the flamboyant presence of the good-hearted Magda, also known as the Marquise, stands out.
Under those circumstances, the charming mariner Manos Apostolidis will seem like the ideal husband for her, and after some hesitation, Magda will decide to marry him in order to change her life.
So, without delay and jubilantly, she will bid farewell to her colleagues in the cabaret where she used to dance and sing, as well as to the slums that she used to dwell, unaware though that her frail dreams for a fresh start are bound to shatter after a malign twist
