CASE ANALYSIS THE WIRE ROPE I. Immediate Issue(s) or Problem(s) Immediate problems concerning this case study involves: a. Is it unethical for me to disclose the knowledge that I gained from my former employer regarding the internally designed machine use by them in order to help solve the problem of my current employer ? Is it considered a violation of confidentiality agreements (if there was any) of trade secrets?
b. Which is more important for me to consider? The fate of my former employer or the fate of my current employer?

This is due to the fact that RWC has the advantage of having an internally designed machine capable of producing this type of high-quality product. The entrant of Green Rope Inc (GRI) made a significant impact since it was able to produced same product with a cheaper price but with a lesser quality. Based on the case, though, we can infer that after more than two years, GRI is now facing a tough situation of closing the business due to quality problems of their product. With regards to the confidentiality clause, there was no express stipulation in the case that there was such an agreement signed and if there was any, I can make a counter appeal that machines are not my expertise being a financial analyst before. Since the area of expertise involves the head of the factory department, this will be discussed with them together with the other heads of GRI. Since this idea should be done with careful planning and will affect the pricing strategies of the company. The idea is to be able to produce wire rope prioritizing on the quality rahter than the price. If they are willing to go with this idea, they ought to invest on research and development costs to be able to design a machine with similar capabilities as with RWC. This will affect the overall budget and prioritization of
