Finally, after thinking about it for a while she decided she would go. So later that night when all of her family was asleep she snuck out and went to the abandoned building. Overview of the Crank Trilogy The books that I chose to do my report on were the Crank trilogy, Crank, Glass, and Fallout, by Ellen Hopkins. Crank was published in 2004, Glass was published in 2007, and the last book, Fallout came out in 2013. Ellen Hopkins wrote these books when she had a personal experience when her daughter, Kristina, started using "the monster" after she met the wrong person. She wrote the books to help herself understand why her daughter did it, then she realized that other people would relate to it and how many people had the same story.…

Integration was the movement to desegregate public schools and other public facilities that could be shared by all races. In 1875, children of different races were banned completely from attending the same school. The movement to desegregate school systems was a huge step in the civil rights movement because there were still problems with Jim Crow laws. Many public places were segregated such as water fountains, restaurants, and grocery stores. This idea of desegregating public school systems was not approved by everyone, which made it difficult to proceed in the integration between the black and white.…

In the non-fiction poem, Shane Koyczan talks about many people who were bullied as kids and how bad bullying is. In Shane Koyczan’s poem, there is a lot of symbolism. One symbol that sticks out to me is the halls of the school representing the battle ground for them. The kids in the classroom where “bombarded by spit balls” but when they would leave they would enter the “battleground where we found ourselves outnumbered day after wretched day” (Koyczan 3) The symbol of the halls being a battleground is so true for these kids because day after day after day they are getting bullied to the extent where they have to fight to avoid mental or physical pain.…

As we were using the restroom Andrew Myers, Jahzara Mckinney, Kadance Gravely, Maddox Lyons, Hayden Elliott, Kaylie Hawks and myself were pulled into the sewers and through a pipe that somehow took us to a island. We were stranded there by ourselves the island was like a forest in a way it has tall redwood trees high grass like the jungle and a beautiful glossering pond. The documentary, Bully, follows five children, from elementary school to high school, and offers an intimate viewpoint on the topic of bullying, and how it affects young children and their families. My overall reaction to this documentary was an initial feeling of sadness. Sadness for the children who have been affected by bullying in the documentary, and sadness for all of those who have been affected by bullying in their lives. This feeling soon turned into a concoction of disappointment, anger, and overall confusion. Disappointment and anger in the fact that children in today’s society feel the need to verbally and physically attack others, and disappointment in the way that bullying is handled by teachers, parents, and administration.…

Cognitive Behavioral Psychology is a speciality in professional psychology; it connects the distressing or emotion causing events in people’s lives to their the reactions or a belief and further action.
