What would a person do if they saw a bullying incident at their school or outside their school. Would this person stand back and let the bullying resume? Would this person join in on the bullying? Would this person attempt to stop the bullying act? This is the reality of what many bystanders face on a daily basis? In today 's society, bullying has been a huge problem for quite some time. It has affected all ages of people and it has recently become increasingly worse. A bully is someone who tries to belittle people by intimidating them. Bullies say hurtful things to people and they often target someone who looks weaker than them. Bullying not only affects victims emotionally, but it also affects them physically. There are various types of bullying that affect people everyday such as: physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. There are many people who are bullied on a daily basis and those individuals should try to seek out for help and get the support they need.
Bullying takes place in schools almost everyday which can lead to children and young adults harming themselves. The middle and high schoolers are affected tremendously by all types of bullying. Some ways to prevent bullying for children is to have their parent regulate their social media accounts and stress the importance for the child to come forward when feeling bullied. Some parents may assume that their child would never bully or even be a victim of bullying, but they could be wrong. The parents or guardians should inform their children the importance of why not to bully. The children should also be aware of the consequences if they were caught in an act of bullying.
