The Broca’s area, seems to have an important part in the left hemisphere of the brain.
Although, the Broca’s area is located in the frontal part of the left hemisphere, where it projects the speech aspect of the left brain. It seems, to many people speech isn't a big deal for the left hemisphere to carry, yet it has a lot to do with connecting to the right side in order for sentences and words to come out nearly almost correctly. Broca’s area, was discovered in 1861 by a man named Paul Broca. He discovered that it serves a vital part in the speech generation.
Also, to be more specific, the broca’s lies in the third frontal convolution. The Broca’s area, is also connected to the other region of the brain called Wernicke's area. The Broca’s

The patients were then asked to describe or name the object. When the object was placed in the left hand the patient could not describe or name the object. This is due to the fact that you left hemisphere controls the right and vice versa. When the object was placed in the right hand the patient could verbalize the name and descri ption of the object, further supporting the conclusion that the left hemisphere is responsible for speech. When patients were asked to match objects to other various objects presented the patients did so efficiently.…

There are different sections of our brain. The hindbrain, which is located at the bottom of the brain, contains the medulla, and can control both our heart rate and breathing. Like the hindbrain, the brain stem also helps us control the heartbeat and our breathing. The midbrain is located in between the forebrain and the hindbrain and its function is to carry information from our brain to our ears and eyes. Finally the forebrain consists of all the information that makes us who we are, is the largest part of our brain and contains most of a person's…

The temporal lobe is the area of the brain located near the temples. It contains the hippocampus, which is the area of the brain that maintains memory and is most often associated with the retention of both short and long term memories. According to Kalat (2013), the temporal love is the primary cortical target for auditory information and is essential to understanding language comprehension and labeling. This area of the brain is also responsible for emotional and motivational behaviors. When there is damage to the temporal lobe, some behaviors can be affected, such as the expression of anger or…

The reason I say the Broca’s Area is because the Broca’s Area is the area in the brain that is responsible for production of words and speech. If I gave up that area in my brain, I just wouldn’t be able to speak. I would still be able to understand what others are telling me but I wouldn't be able to communicate back with words. My life would be different because I would have to communicate differently with others than I’m used too.…

A simple evening eating pizza, socializing and playing cards might seem like a simple event, but in reality to complete such tasks, the brain is continuously adapting to the environment. The Broca area is involved in speech production which means that it generates every word that you will be pronouncing during your visit at your friends. The Broca also is involved in language processing which helps one speak clearly. During the evening out, the Broca will be producing the words and phrases needed to socialize with your friends. During the card game, you need to speak to get your value across to the other players, so your Broca will need say words such as "check" and "fold" if the friendly game indeed is poker.…

Neurodevelopmental disorders are disorders wherein impairments in neural development lead to deficits in various cognitive and/or social abilities (Reynolds & Goldstein, 1999). Historically, researchers have often assumed that human cognition is served by numerous “modules”, each of which performs a specific cognitive function. It is typically argued that each module is supported by a specific brain region whose evolutionarily-defined characteristics confer neural properties that facilitate module-appropriate cognitive operations (Buss, 2010). Accordingly, many neurodevelopmental disorders have historically been viewed as deficits that arise in consequence of the abnormal development of a particular module (e.g. Baron-Cohen et al., 1985). The neuroconstructivist position (Karmiloff-Smith, 1998, 2009, 2010) rejects this account of neurodevelopmental disorders.…
