The people in the painting look as if they could be made of porcelain. There is a lot of depth in the room as well and this is because of the shading he used in the corners of the room. In the mirror there is a reflection of a door the type of brush stroke that is on the door is a hatch stroke. It looks a bit rough but intentionally.
