The film was directed by Mark Herman and was released in 2008. The young boy’s father is a high ranking German Nazi. It begins with the family moving very close to a concentration camp with a large population of Jewish children. Due to his Father recently getting a promotion in the army, he is now running that very concentration camp. The boy, Bruno, has claimed that he wanted to be an explorer when he grew up. One day, when he had nothing to do, he decided to go exploring around the forest near his home. While walking through the forest, he notices an opening in the tree line, with fencing and buildings. From outside the fence, he sees a lot of people locked inside. He calls over a boy expected to be around his age, over to the edge of the fence, and the two start getting to know each other. During one conversation, it is evident that Bruno does not understand exactly why his friend is in the fence. “Shmuel: ‘I wish you’d remembered the chocolate.’ Bruno: ‘Yes, I’m sorry. I know! This song is considered a remix to the song, “The Way it is” by Bruce Hornsby and the Range, which came out in 1986. The lyrics to the song were influenced by many different events during the average upbringing of someone growing up in the hood. The song also references many of the problems with life in that time; mainly problems with racism, drug use, and violence, both gang and police. “Changes” is the name of the song, but it is also what Tupac is hoping for with the future. “I see no changes, all I see is racist faces, misplaced hate makes disgrace to races...take the evil out the people, they’ll be acting right, because both black and white are smoking crack tonight.” Tupac is basically stating that most people are racist just for the fun of it, and that the hate is placed towards the African American race in this case. He also makes the listener really think about the problems when he stated that both black and white are smoking crack tonight, showing that it is not just the black community causing the problems that they are being blamed for. Tupac actually mentions the co-founder of the Black Panther Party in the first verse of the song. “It’s time to fight back that’s what Huey said, two shots in the dark now Huey’s dead.” It brings up the topic of Huey P. Newton’s assassination in Oakland, California just three years before the song was recorded, on the 22nd of August in
