“Despite everything, I believe that people are really good at heart. ( Frank)” That was a famous quote written by Anne Frank. Anne Frank was living during the holocaust, she was hiding from the Nazi soldiers. During this time period she kept a diary and wrote everything down that happened. Some people agree with Anne that no matter what people are trying to good in the end. On the other hand some people disagree and think that all of the wrong there is no good just evil. I agree with Anne even though bad things happen doesn’t mean people are just plain evil. A reason I agree with Anne Frank is because, people are risking their own lives to hide people of the Jewish Faith in their homes. On the website The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum-Rescue it talks about”Two german soldiers were killed for hiding Jews”. This reveals to me that Germans were willing to go against everything to keep the Jewish safe. In the movie The Book Thief Mama and Papa took in a jew named Max and hid him in their basement, knowing they could be punished. This tells me that not all Germans were against Jews during the holocaust, they were …show more content…
In the movie The Book Thief a Nazi soldier went to Max’s house and warned him that the Nazis would be coming . This tells me that even though some Germans were part of Hitler’s army they didn't believe Hitler. In the same movie The Book Thief Papa stood up for a local Jewish man. Papa knew him his whole life, but since Papa stood up for the Jewish he was forced into the army. This shows that germans wanted to help others and knew the consequences. On the website United States Holocaust Memorial Museum-Rescue it talks about a Jew that got help by a family who had a son in the army. This shows that even though they had a son helping Hitler they weren't following his rules they were breaking them to save
