Dweck was trying to tell us,”children who get challenged every day have a better chance to succeed even if they fail they keep trying”(23). This is clearly an argument for what our school needs to change, we need more effort out of our schools students. Anaheim has some of the brightest students in California, but we need to develop a “growth mindset” to succeed in school. Dweck also said, “our society is full of children who believe that they are not smart, but they need to have a growth mindset”(23). I've seen too many students in the few schools i've been to say, I can't do it”, or I'm just not as smart as those kids. Our students need to make changes in their confidence. It was pretty fun and i got to play the thing i loved at school but it did come with some positives and negatives. When u used to play i would come to practice really early and work on my game. It showed me how to have a lot of of discipline and hard work to get what i want out of my life. But it did become a distraction to my school work and i was coming home really late from practices making me tired and not want to do any homework or study.
