Shattering Glass: The Impact The book “Shattering Glass” by Gail Giles was such an impacting read for me as a freshman in high school. It taught me the significance of what having too much power and control over a student body can develop into. It gave me an insight of what a bully could manipulate someone into doing. Gail Giles definitely perfected Shattering Glass with it’s high school setting and classic cliques. Rob Hayes, the leader of the senior class, decides to transform the class nerd, Simon Glass, into a prince charming. Rob has a mission to change Simon’s clumsy and sloppy habits by helping him gradually become popular among the senior class. However, once Rob achieves turning Simon into a prince charming
