The author of the Book of Genesis is never recognized because the bible doesn’t say this is who wrote this chapter. Traditionally, the author has always been assumed to be Moses. Moses is born in the time where pharaoh the king of Egypt ordered to kill every boy that was born, he survives and ends up be raised be the pharaoh this story can be found in the following chapter of the bible Exodus. The Book of Genesis does not state when it was written. The date the book was probably written between 1440 and 1400 B.C., between the time Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt and his death. Columbus arrived to the new country in 1492 you could say this being a historical event “ in the beginning” where humanity discovered the natives that lived in Hispaniola these people didn’t worship one god or any gods they worshiped the heavens, planets and the stars. Iaia who had enclosed the bones in the gourd, came upon them, the youth frightened at their sacrilege, and to avoid being accused of that robbery by Iaia, they ran away because of the weight of the great gourd fell upon the ground and broke, and the sea escaped through the cracks, which they believe created the islands which could be seen.
