The Blizzard Short Story

It was a warm and cozy afternoon, with the temperature reaching 75 degrees at max. The sun rays were still shining brightly, casting shadows across a wide field full of green grass. The sounds of various birds chirping can be heard clearly everywhere, and occasionally a butterfly would fly around, landing gently on the ever-fragile petals of the clarie flowers. Right next to the field was the woods of the Kaiboro Forest, a mysterious place full of never-ending clumps of trees(that was so an exaggeration...it is small in a way but hard to navigate so no one has ventured in it much)...I was having these cozy thoughts as I played tag with my best friend Leo, running around and chasing each other passionately from one place to another. …show more content…
He told me that he was in the middle of reading an interesting book(that was what he called it) titled, "The Blizzard" by Daniel Canes. It made him long for the winter, and as he was imagining playing in the fresh snow, he got interrupted by the annoying person that is me. "What is it that you want to tell me?" At that time, I kind of felt sorry for breaking the guy's concentration, but I had to, to get his attention. "How about we go on a little trip to the woods over there tomorrow morning?" I suggested, pointing toward the direction of the Kaiboro Forest. "To kill our time and boredom, because, you know, we've got nothing to do these days." His eyes opened wide, and his facial expression changed from disbelief, curiosity, to finally excitement. "That's a great idea! A dangerous and foolish one, but it's still great! I'm in!" "For real?" I asked, just to make sure. "I mean, the idea just came out from the top of my head so it maybe a little unplanned and all, so—" "Yeah, why would I be joking? Do I look like the coward type? Come on, let's go pack our camping supplies and prepare for the trip! We'll meet up over by the edge of the forest tomorrow morning at 6." Leo grinned excitedly, snapping his book closed with a loud snap!. "I can't wait to go!" "Me, too! Let's go

“A Blizzard under Blue Sky” by Pam Houston is a great article, and I think most of us can relate to it not because of depression but because all of life’s challenges. Nature impacts the human experience in this article because the author was experiencing a great deep depression and she thought the only way to help her depression was to go out winter camping. Although she had picked one of the worst times to go due to the weather being thirty-two below zero she decided to go anyways. During the time, she would admire nature and its beauty as she went on her journey. “There’s nothing quite like the clarity and precision of fresh snow.”…

ONE DAY, WHILST changing into a fresh tunic after a tiring day of practice races, Rubio was summoned to the Domus Aurelia by Aurelius Falco.
