The Blind Side is a quality film based on a true story. The main character, Michael Oher is homeless and has little educational knowledge due to drifting in and out of the school system. Eventually, Leigh and Sean adopted Michael and this changed his life forever. With a little help from them, Michael exceeds in school and becomes an All-American left tackle and first round NFL draft pick. The Blind Side is a quality film based on a true story that exemplifies that no matter what background you come from, you can be successful. This movie does a significant job of reaching the target audience and several emotions are felt throughout the movie. (Hancock, 2009)
Anyone who needs a little bit of inspiration should consider watching this film. This is a real life story of a human being who becomes extremely successful. It does not matter what background you come from in order to achieve your dreams. Michael came from a very terrible background before meeting his parents. He never even had a bed to himself. The specific audience in this film would be anyone who does not have a family. It could also be anyone who has family problems such as the main character, Michael or has someone very close to them who is struggling. The film connects to this audience because Michael’s mother is a drug addict and he has no idea who his dad is. Many members of society face these similar issues within their family and are able to connect with the main character of the film.
