The Blame Game In Romeo and Juliet, many tragedies happened. The biggest was that Romeo and Juliet died. Friar Laurence is the one to blame for the deaths of Tybalt, Mercutio, Lady Montague, Paris, Romeo and Juliet. The plan that he made had many flaws to it. He trusted a teenage girl with a potion that made her seem death-like. If the Friar would have delivered the letter himself Romeo would not have gone back to Verona and killed him self to be wit the undead Juliet. Friar Laurence is also very selfish. We find this in the tomb scene when he runs away from Juliet when she needed him the most. The plan that Juliet and the Friar came up with all depended on Juliet taking the potion at the right time.
