The Black Widow: Borderline Personality Disorder

The following case study is on a woman spy named Natasha Romanoff more known as The Black Widow suffering from borderline personality disorder. Borderline personality disorder is a serious mental disorder marked by a pattern of ongoing instability in moods, behavior, self-image, and functioning. These experiences often result in impulsive actions and unstable relationships. A person with BPD may experience intense episodes of anger, depression, and anxiety that may last from only a few hours to days.Someone with borderline personality disorder is a very manipulating person. Black widow used her disorder to her advantage, as a spy she used it to get information out of people and she has a very easy time doing it; sometimes people wouldn’t even realize that they were giving her information. Ever wonder why she never talked about her in love or having a boyfriend or even a family; she avoided having any real relationships to make sure that she wouldn’t be abandoned. Another sign of borderline personality disorder is voluntary putting yourself into dangerous situations the black widow puts herself in danger all the time it’s her job. Her daily life is guns, torture, villains, and violence. She puts her life on the line all the time being a spy especially in the avengers, she faced many evil things that had more of an advantage or powers and she was just a normal person trained to have special skills. The Black Widow used her disorder to her advantage, to be able to manipulate people easily was very useful in her line of work but because of her disorder it put her above other spies
