The movie ,Monty Python, does an excellent job of mocking religion and serious events from the past. The knights look to religion for answers. Instead of God being a savior he is depicted as a mean spirited man who does not want to help. The mocking of the black plague shows the fear that people felt. When King Arthur gets to a difficult point on his journey he looks to God for help. He gets on his knees and starts begging for forgiveness. The points he makes during his prayer are all about how unworthy he is. God’s head appears in the clouds. He replies to King Arthur with anger. It makes God angry when people are always claiming to be unworthy, in fact he says it is annoying. In the movie they show the black plague reeking havoc
