I’m a 29 years old smart, reliable and funny senior studying strategic communication at the historical black Morgan State University, located in one of the most charming cities in the United States of America, Baltimore City.
Background:
I was born April 28, 1986 and raised in Baltimore, Md. I’m the oldest of three siblings in my immediate family and the mother of two beautiful daughters, ages eight and 13, whom I try my best to model the highest standards of being an African American female for.

However, I was never influenced by humans easily.
Experiences and people somewhat have definitely challenged and changed me though. There’s nothing unique about that, where I’m from, everyone at some point experience some type of continual adversity in their life.
However, overcoming (only God and books) adversity, became my mojo matriculating through the chapters of my life. I started this paper with a quote from one of my favorite authors, none other than the legendary, beautiful African American female revolutionists, Maya Angelou.
When I was about seven or eight years old, my mother brought me “Life Doesn’t Frighten Me” by Angelou, a poem book for children that used amusing pictures and catchy short, three line poems to complement the picture.
This book among others, helped me become the person I am today, the reason I find strength in reading and feel empowered to live a purposeful life, not be frighten by it.
Weakness:
I would have to say that my biggest weakness is talking about or explaining my upbringing when tasked. I don’t like being judge based off of the culture and impoverished situation I was born
