The “Black Lives Matter” movement was started to raise awareness of the treatment of blacks by police. This movement has caused some heated discussions about race and inequality in our country. There have been cases where police have made mistakes and used deadly force when it was not necessary. I believe that in these cases the cops that are in the wrong need to be prosecuted and held accountable for their actions. Supporters of the “Black Lives Matter” movement believe that our society is in a state of perpetual conflict and that the police are trying to dominate and hold power over the black community.
