March 28, 2014 was a day I’d never forget, It was a day filled with a whirlwind of emotions, which was to be expected with a new life being born. That life just so happened to be my first ever nephew, Anthony Nathaniel Harris. The birth of Anthony meant I had some growing up to do in order to set a good example for his as his aunt. Little did I know how much he would really change me. Nobody could 've predicted the craziness of his birth, nor the love he would receive afterward. His birth was long awaited, he was 2 weeks late and, my sister could not wait for him to be born! He was causing her much discomfort, kicking her in the ribs like a kangaroo, ouch!

It was March 27, 2014, I was at my house, in the Royal Oaks neighborhood of Visalia, California, lying in bed. I remember tossing and turning, as restless as a caged animal. I was nervous and excited for my sister, Bianca knowing that at 6 the next morning she would be going to the main hospital in Visalia, Kaweah Delta for a scheduled C-section. This visit they got a nice surprise, Anthony was finally healthy enough to take home, after they ran a carseat test on him to make sure he could breathe while in his carseat, and they watched a few instructional videos about infant safety. April first, at 5 o 'clock was the first time I laid eyes on my beautiful nephew.
