Personality Theories: The Big Five Traits

What is personality? Personality comes from the Latin word persona. It's an different roles or identities. Personality is made up of many characteristic such as, patterns of thoughts, behaviors, and feeling. Personality makes a person unique. According to the "Trait Theory", a person can determine their personality based on the "Big Five Traits" (BFT). The Big Five Traits are openness to experience, conscientiouness, extraversion, agreedable, and neuroticism. Personality theorist call these traits the Big Five (Carver, Scheier, John & Srivastava, 2009). I would like to talk about the firt theory which is openness to experience one of my top skills. But when it comes to give a speech or talk in front of people for instance, a presentation or speech I do get nervous or shy in some ways. I do well speaking and engaging with peolpe in a smaller aspect but in a larger gruops of people my "social phobia of the fear of public speaking" can be challenging. Also, sometime I tend to show introversion this mean to focused more internallly thoughts. So, I have a little Classical Conditioning and well as operant conditiong. She died at a young age of thirty-six and I do miss her much. Her death was within three day and that was surprisinly fast to my family. A sudden death which still to this day have questions and answers. Even though the death certificate said one thing her death was unsolved and the coroner had to put something for the reason of her death. During her last days of being healthy I graduated from middle school entering high schoolas a freshmen. My mother was serious about education. She would say with out education you are nothing. You need education to survive in this world. In the summer of 1992 ,I was thirteen years old turning fourteen in the month of August 1992. I felt all the neuroticism emotions at that time and even now those emotions are still within me. I left my home and became homeless. I asked a friend in high school mother if I can live with them. The family said yes if it was Ok with my father. My father allowed me to live with my friend famliy. He then moved and got remarriade December 1992. He took my little brother and moved to North Carolina. Living with my new family at first was cool and excited but being a young lady I had to work in their family restaurant day and night and still attend high school. I worked seven
