Task 2 – The Big Five
Factor Personal Assessment (Low, middle, High) Explanation of assessment
Openness to experience Middle I am a person who is open to new experiences, curious about how things work around with lots of ideas flowing in however I prefer things to be straightforward and to settle difficult situations subtlety. An example would be to experience a new thrill such as rock climbing but I would be very cautious of the safety measures to be taken and would want it to be communicated to me before it begins. In my future career, I would be open to new ways of doing things but would be very critical in the way it is done.
Conscientiousness High I am willing to work hard for things I believe in and have a passion for achieving the

The big five personality test is an intriguing test to take and I feel it helped me understand what my personality can be, especially when it comes to social situations. Growing up I felt like the odd one out because I was not the talkative, outgoing, person everyone wanted me to. Working, and attending college has helped me understand who I am, along with growing up. The first trait I got results on, and I was a bit shocked at, was open-mindedness. I scored in the 58th percentile, which according to the test means I do not seek out new experiences.…

Demographic similarity theory describes individuals who receive information and determine the similarity, either demographic attributes or personal traits, they think they are comparing to others. This theory is based on Social Identity Theory where decision makers tend to group themselves and others or, at least, creating their own social identities of themselves comparative to others and giving positive or negative evaluations to different categories (Dovido & Hebl, 2005; Tajfel, 1982; Tajfel & Turner, 1986). In general, decision makers are consistently rating persons from their own groups higher than people from other groups (Goldberg, 2005). To sustain a positive sense of identity and reduce cognitive disagreement, managers will give positive…

When I take a personality test, they were never accurate until now. The Myers Briggs test was right on point for my assessment, actually I never thought of the reason why I am quick to think before I react, or be so “cold” when it came down to decision making. I always thought I was someone who wouldn’t attract people to me but, from this test it opened my eyes that I do attract more people to me before I even talked to them. Sometimes when I need to get a point across I use accurate data, or facts to prove a point. I do know that I am well organize with my agenda but also will come to the occasion that I will completely miss something because I wasn’t paying attention.…

When taking the Big Five Personality Test, I scored a 50 in extroversion, 39 in emotional stability, 67 in agreeableness, 84 in conscientiousness, and 23 in intellect/imagination. According to the results I am neither an outgoing or shut in person, I range about 50/50 with my sociable skills. I am on the low side of emotional stability, but was scored as friendly, optimistic, careful, diligent, and tend to be conventional when it comes to imagination. With these results, I was surprised that my score was low for emotional stability because I feel like I have stable emotions, minus stress related factors. My results were accurate in a way that I am an organized person who tends to talk a lot, but not try to be the center of attention as if I…
