One of these parables the one i most liked was in Matthew 13:44” Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hide, and for joy thereof goth and Sellers all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”(KJV version) In this parable the treasure is the kingdom of God the field is the world this means that to enter or to be part of God’s kingdom you must give up all your worldly possession to give to God.Further more Jesus gives another example.Matthew 13:45-46”Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.”(KJV version)same point as the first one to enter you must give yourself and everything you possess.from the parables Jesus taught you can pick out some obvious kingdom facts such as:Jesus is the source of all that is good. Since he died for us it would be obvious to think he wants only the best for us he is the source of all good peace, love, righteousness, happiness everything you would want in life.this fall revival the speaker said a rather catchy quote he said that “Success without Jesus is failure” which

In short, Jesus fulfills the Kingdom in three ways: Through God’s people, through God’s place, and through God’s rule/blessing (God 's Big Picture, Chapter 6, pp. 107–21) First, Jesus fulfills the kingdom through God’s people (God 's Big Picture, Chapter 6, pp. 109–14). What do I mean by this? Well I think an example will help. When we look at Adam in the Garden of Eden, we see that he fell into sin; in other words, Adam failed in what he was supposed…

Richard Mouw believes Heaven will be a renewed creation that includes an embodied existence and cultural life. In the book “When the Kings Come Marching In” Mouw talks about how society has to transform and change our ideas of how we view things in order to prepare for the Holy City. The Kingdom of God is composed of the Children of Adam who are the true believers and the non-Christians belong to the Kingdom of the World. Being a citizen of Christ requires us to serve the Church, pray, and follow His example. In order to be a good citizen of the world we are expected to perform our job as a member of society and obey the laws of the government. Luther reminds us to “Behave in such a way that you bear everything so that you may not need the governing authority to help you and serve you, but that you in turn may help and serve it, being beneficial to it” (Luther 436). Being a part of the Kingdom of the World requires us to know what our duties, rights, and obligations are so that we can have the correct relationship with the state.…

Jesus claims that only the completely righteous and pure in heart will enter the kingdom of heaven. Essentially, Jesus sets up qualifications which he knows are impossible for the members of his audience to fulfill. There is no question that the audience knows this, as well. Therefore, Jesus effectively directs his listeners to one conclusion: that they are hopeless in attaining heavy citizenship on their own accord, and that they need a completely righteous and pure Savior who can fulfill the Law in their stead. Jesus attains this by building example upon example on how a true Christian should live.…

Within each of us exists a war that is being fought for our affections and identity. This war is a microcosm of the world we live in; where conflict exists and we are challenged with truth claims that seek to orient our hearts towards their respective end-purposes. The definitive answers to the life’s big questions are found in the Holy Scriptures (2 Tim 3:16); answers related to the natural world, our identity, our relationships, and how the culture around us should function. The gospel of Jesus Christ connects us to the Creator, whose written words give understanding, and whose gift of grace frees his people from the broken condition of the natural world and natural self.
