I will highlight a few. God speaks very clearly in the Bible on the value of unborn children. God’s Word says that He personally made each one of us, and has a plan for each life: The sixth commandment clearly states“You shall not murder” (Exod. 20:13). The Bible does not specify all classes of human beings who may not be murdered—that is, it does not bother saying, “You shall not murder women, people of color, old people, infants, deformed people, retarded people,” and so forth; it covers all the bases by the universal prohibition against murder. Some may argue that the bible does not say that you shall not murder the unborn but it was not necessary for the Bible to say, “You shall not murder the unborn.” As Randy Alcorn puts it, “All that was necessary to prohibit an abortion was the command, ‘You shall not murder and abortion is murder. Also supporting this belief is Psalms 139:13-14, where the psalmist writes “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. This portion of scripture indicates that God had a hand in the creation of life even in its earliest stages.
