They specialize in the all american meal. This includes a hamburger, fries, and a soda or shake. Notice how you don’t need any utensils for that meal? This means that the health effects of a fast food meal are almost immediate. Does enjoying a meal like this in “moderation” exist with all the health problems that come along with it? As a people, we need to take more time to consider these notable underlying problems. The effects of a bad diet can significantly lower people’s standards of life. But, we cannot blame consumers for buying into the idea of fast food because the marketing techniques targeted towards them are persuasive and seem worth it in in the moment. To avoid this it is key to inform and educate consumers so that they can understand the potential issues associated with fast food. Once consumers know and understand the potential issues, there will overall better health in the United States. We can prepare meals at home and take them on the go. We can offer healthier options at these fast food places. I believe that we can find healthier alternatives that are also cheap, convenient, and just as tasty. We may need to put in more effort, but that is a small price to pay. Your health will thank
