History is a course that is supposed to tell the stories of the past to the present generation. However, History presents the stories not as they exactly occurred. The stories of the past of America were not told exactly as they had happened to the simple fact that publishers of textbooks wanted to satisfy or to please a group of people. So, textbook had modified or transformed the American’s history to meet the demand of the multicultural left and the conservative religious right (Discussion 1) . In the Betrayal of History, Jack Garraty was surprised to discover that the latest edition of the eighth-grade textbook he had written in 1982 he had written, had been modified with a different information concerning the discovering of the Hudson River without his permission (Stille, vol. 45).
