Most recently we challenged our panel to think about work visas. An immigrant may have been forced over the border in some way. If a business tricked the immigrant and sneaked them over or a child may not have had a choice and had come over the border illegally with his or her family years ago. Immigrants may now be stuck growing up as an illegal immigrant in some way. A process to advance immigration is to issue the illegal immigrant a work visa. The work visa is a stepping stone to get the illegal immigrant into becoming an Unites States. citizen. The immigrant can work, legally make money and get paid minimum wage to start off a life in the United States. After a certain amount of time, the immigrant can pay what it takes to become an American citizen.
