In my sophomore year of college, a friend and I cofounded the Sterling College Ping Ping-Pong Club and I became the club president. With this position, I assumed the responsibilities of planning events that students wished to attend, helping to create eye-catching posters, and adhering to Student Government approved budgets. Although the Ping-Pong Club had a vice president and treasurer, as president, I took it upon myself to make sure that deadlines were met, meetings were held, and events ran smoothly. Although not tremendously stressful, it was difficult to make sure that tasks were completed. During this time, I learned the importance of delegation.
