Many devices that humans have invented including computer help people to live their
lives easier. There are both advantages and disadvantages of computer which
depend on in what way the users manage to use it. Nowadays, young children have
involved with computer much more than before by most of them not knowing how to
use it properly and do not realise that sometimes spending too much time on the
computer could be harmful. There is no need for children to work with computers
every day because it cannot offer several other things. However, many parents and
schools often put children into the electronic environment by only think about the

However, children in some families that do not
have a computer can still probably practice using it at school and it seems impossible
for them to avoid using computers. Serdar, the writer of the article, claims that
computer delivers the “intellectual experiences” and prospects of the world’s
deviation to children (2014, p. 203). Moreover, he mentions that some researchers
believe that social interaction as well happens when children spend time on their
computer in the class at school (206). For example, most children do not only use
computers alone but they also talk to their friends and share it with them or even ask
them to take part in what is on the screen.
An additional positive reason that referred in The Effective use of computers
with young children is “Computer representations are often more manageable,
flexible, and extensible” (Celments, 1999). For that purpose, the computer is just a
machine which would do anything that a programmer set it to do. It is such a laid
back way for children to control computers in the way that they would like because
the entirety has already organized for the user in an uncomplicated …show more content…
20). In general, more
computer designs to suit adults better than the children which surely can give the
drawbacks to the early age users because they have not yet grown up enough to fit
it. Additionally, eating while working on computer is habitually causing obesity in
children. According to Cordes and Miller, many health professionals believed
childhood obesity had increased since 1994 … and because they consumed so
many high-fat, high sugar foods (1999, p. 25). Instead of doing other useful activities,
children waste most of their time on the computer and the longer time they spend on
it usually increases the amount of food that they tend to eat.
From my point of view, computers are important for some people but not yet
for young children. It seems clear that many studies have shown stronger evidences
of the negative effects of computers on children than the positives. Further instances
of the downsides are learning difficulties, false collaboration, lack of concentration,
and missed communication with others (Cordes and Miller, 1999). Correspondingly,
