The Chance to Make a Difference. What does a person want to be in their life? People will be asked this question in so many variations and times. Since the time people are adolescence and first thinking of the world as bigger than they are, through the time they are an adult and choose to earn a college degree, there will be many obstacles and choices that are going to be made, in what you will hopefully do with the rest of your life. The career of Social Work has many variables once in the field, you can be in just about any setting imaginable. Because I have a passion for heling other, and finding justice for those who have been at an unfair advantage from within their own life, I feel I owe it to them to give them an adequate chance, in the world this is why I choose to be a Social Work major. In order to start your path to becoming a Social worker you obtain a bachelor’s degree. The BSW, allows a person to be in an entry level position in a related field. The next step is obtaining a master’s, and gather valuable experience within the field of choice. After receiving a MSW, a person can proceeded and earn a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Work) degree, and this can involve several more supervised hours, and a supplementary amount in a pay raise.
The salary for a social worker in the hospital or clinical setting, in which I would like to be involved with, is approximately $44,370 - $54,590+ , but both of these numbers can vary about 20,000 dollars depending on the branch of Social Work, and company providing the clients. Turning to the jobs outlook for the future from 2012 to 2022, there will be an estimated 19- 27 percent based on which division a person would choose to thrive in.
