Nurse Anesthetists record medical history, symptoms, perform physical exams, and observe patients, create ad contribute to plans, perform and order diagnostic tests, operate and monitor equipment, diagnose health problems, as well as analyze results the patient’s condition and the current treatment plans, administer medications, evaluate the patient’s response to the medications, and lastly they consult the doctors opinions. Anesthetists also counsel and teach patients and family members how to maintain good health along with helping them learn how to manage and treat their illnesses and injuries. Along with conducting research CRNA’s provide anesthesia and care before and after surgical, therapeutic, and obstetrical procedures. CRNA’s also provide pain management and emergency services.
