I am not able to sit and play video games for an excessive amount of time. I notice I begin to get very sore within my muscles, disengaged, and agitated. However, there are times in which I admire video games and the affect they have on me. I love to play board games via a video game console. I like that better than sometime playing the actual board game. Educational, fun, and reasoning games are vibrant, more absorbent, and fun to interact with on the screen. There are other cognitive benefits to the brain from video games because it can promote interaction among others and bring about communication. Now, a lot of video games has the ability to connect virtually by means of being able to view your opponents you are playing online, talk lively with them, and play the game in real time. Advances are being made that promote social and technological features of video games. Games are becoming more challenging and causing you to think more about the outcomes. Other positive reinforcers on how the brain is affected positively is that a lot of video games cause you to pay attention to detail, remain alert, and analyze different outcomes. Sometimes, video games will cause your brain to shut down, due to lack of unengaged use. When our focus is on reaching the next level in an online game, we filter out all other necessary skills in order to maintain staying focused. This is mainly due from exhaustion. All the negative habits adversely affect your brain because you are not feeding your brain with the proper nutrition, cognitive skills, learning, or getting the proper amounts of sleep. Therefore you will become more grouchy, less pleasant to be around, and physically drained. You have to feed your mind with adequate and proper care. When you lack the necessary things needed to function; you lack your ability to be of use. So there are many factors be it good or bad that video games can have on our minds but there are still areas that I feel causes me to believe that video games can play a part in how we adapt and fully comprehend that in which we play.
