According to Morin and Levenson (2008) group therapy is useful to treat people who have Paraphilic Disorders thought improving patient’s social skills and relationship. In the Patrick’s case, Patrick is worried that he cannot connect with the other people normally in his social circle caused by the sexual sadism disorder. To solve his dysfunction of social relationship, the therapist can invite the other patients who have sexual sadism disorder with similar social relationship problem. This psychotherapy intervention setting can lead Patrick to observes how the other people facing with their problem and modeling successful methods from their experiences. For example, Patrick can inspired by the other people in the group who is talking about how they reconstruct an intimate relationship with their lover by change the ways when they are having sex, and Patrick can also hear about how do they pressure their fantasy and shift their attention about sexual abuse to the other woman who surrounding them.
