How To Get One Million Dollars

Improved Essays
One million dollars does not go far these days, as prices of everything are rising constantly. Fifty years ago this amount of money would have been extraordinary although in todays world it is a customary amount to many people. Many people would keep the full amount to themselves, although I would split it with seven hundred thousand dollars going towards the family farm and the other three hundred thousand dollars kept to my self. If I were to ever get one million dollars I would out put the majority towards my family farm, but I would also keep some to myself. Farming isn’t a cheap occupation, so I would have to be smart with the money I put towards it as farming has many expensive costs such as equipment, buying land, and produce costs; while the portion I keep would go to travel, shopping and savings. Owning a grain farm has many costs in order to keep it running, these costs are so large that even with seven hundred …show more content…
With this money I would use it to travel the world, go shopping, and save the rest. When traveling I would travel with my family and visit many hot destinations, such as the Caribbean, South America, Thailand, and Australia. I would travel through out the winter months because I’m not a fan of the cold weather. While on my travels I would learn to surf, hike mountains, explore new countries, and meet new people. Traveling has always been one of my goals. Other than travel, I would spend my money on more brand name clothes, purses, and shoes. I enjoy shopping because I like to renew my wardrobe and update my style. Even though I am not in need for more shopping I tend to love the atmosphere and the goal of shopping. After shopping I would save the money that was not used, I believe saving money is very important skill to learn. The saved money would be put towards schooling to become a nurse and live out the rest of my life as a normal human

Among the other environmental issue, the most pressing health issue in Maryland that I selected as being the top priority and most essential is “Saving the Chesapeake Bay”. The Chesapeake Bay is an estuary, a body of water that is formed where freshwater from streams and rivers flows into the ocean, mixing with sea water. The nation’s water is in jeopardy to 10,000 miles of Maryland streams affected by the polluting industries that carved loopholes in the Clean Water Act.1 "Save the Bay" campaign is the Chesapeake Bay Foundation – the largest conservation organization in Maryland that their mission focus on reducing pollution, restoring and protecting the wetlands and forests. Some of the major issues saving the Bay are not only of saving the 200-mile-long inlet that runs from Havre de Grace, Maryland to Norfolk, Virginia, also the 50 major rivers and streams that pour into the bay each day, and the creeks that feed those rivers and streams.1 A…
