Money is a huge problem for students now a days going to college. Tuition costs are rising at alarmingly rates. Add that with eating out, shopping trips, gas for the car, the price of textbooks, not to mention dorm rooms for on campus students, and forget about out of state students you have a college student's worst nightmare. College students drop out of school each year because they cannot afford it. Others are forced to juggle full schedules with full time jobs to make ends meet. It is becoming increasingly harder for students to graduate without having to owe half of the rest of their pay checks they get to pay off loans.

But there are even dozens if not more of odd and unusual scholarships for all those odd and unusual students out there. You don’t have to be a superstar to win scholarship awards but you will feel like one when you pay for your tuition with free money.

Planning for college is an investment in the future of your child, grandchild, friend, spouse, or even yourself. Starting early and investing regularly are key strategies to being prepared for the expenses of a college education. But it’s not always that easy and people may need different ways to afford these high college prices for education.

Some solutions are things like a new thing called Buzz Fund. It’s changing the way that students pay for college. Buzz fund is a website where college students can post their personal profile, and donors can search for students to provide scholarships to.
