The Benefits Of Clean Energy

“Scientists and industry experts may disagree over how long the world 's supply of oil and natural gas will last, but it will end”, Collins said. As of 2014 the United States consumes and burns about 374.74 million gallons per day. As the nation begins to deplete their non-renewable resources, they are forced to search for a permanent replacement that will continue to power all of North America and other countries worldwide. However, the government will have to transition all of america into a clean energy provider and producer in order to reduce climate change and health issues across the nation and world, Although it is an expensive investment, alternate energy sources will aid the society in the future by providing clean energy, extending …show more content…
Now one might wonder how has this become a sudden issue? Well, ever since the discovery of oil’s practical usage. People have burned oil to power vehicles, homes, and appliances. When non-renewable resources such as oil, coal, and natural gas are burned ; they emit CO2 molecules or carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. As a result, the earth’s atmosphere becomes warmer because carbon dioxide gases block heat, that is radiated from the sun, from leaving our own atmosphere. At first, this was not much of an issue since the physical size of the atmosphere is enormous. However,as each decade passed the increase in air pollution increased because of society 's extensive and daily reliance on oil and other non-renewable resources. As heat builds up in the atmosphere,a progress called the greenhouse effect begins in motion. This progress is the warming of the entire planet through the atmosphere. Real life effects of the greenhouse effect are melting glaciers, severe climate change, and change in ecosystems. To counter this effect, the president of the united states has ensured the nation to create clean energy and a green infrastructure as it can also benefit the american economy. He has also gone to state,"...we will double renewable energy production and renovate public buildings to make them more energy efficient." Although alternative energy is more pricy than traditional produced …show more content…
Just like oil gave us fasty mobility, and power to create wonders;clean energy can further the progress in both categories. For example, Improvements in technology have reduced the price of solar-electric modules.the average price of energy through photovoltaics was 95 U.S cents per kilowatt-hour,and has now dropped to about 20 cents per kilowatt-hour. This is great news because, solar energy is becoming much more available to the average consumer. Once solar panels seemed part of the future ,but now they are slowly making their way into everyday people. In the past decade or so there has been a reduction is spaceship launches due to massive amount of fuel necessary to lift a spaceship from the ground ,but with a unlimited amount energy they can plan many more interstellar trips and while in space regain energy lost by simply using the nearest star to power solar panels.
