The British organisation EndOurPain, have been endlessly campaigning for the U.K government to have compassion for the “estimated 1 million people in the UK who use cannabis for medical reasons, and who currently risk arrest and prosecution by buying cannabis from drug dealers or growing it themselves. Many of these people are in severe pain, and find that cannabis is the only method to manage their symptoms effectively and without the debilitating side-effects that accompany many conventional treatments”. EndOurPain are a well-researched and benevolent organisation. They have high profile supporters such as Sir Richard Branson, Joanna Lumley, Russell Brand, and Alastair Campbell. The issue of medical legalisation has the support of over 100 MPs and Peers, many of which are from Scottish political parties, including Alex Salmond.
