The sugar should be added to boiling water. The mixture should then be boiled again while stirring for the sugar to dissolve and then cooled.
5. Yeasts or molds should not be let to grow in hummingbird feeders. When you identify any, empty the feeder and then scrub it thoroughly.
6. Hummingbird feeders should be thoroughly washed with clean, soapy water and rinsed whenever refilling them.
