• To be a mechanical engineer one has to learn various system components, from computer programming to power systems, and cover technical subjects, such as fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and hydraulics. They also need to gain a basic understanding of civil, electrical, and chemical engineering. A solid foundation in study techniques and technological applications is needed to identify problems and then come up with effective ways to talk about them. The best mechanical engineers challenge themselves to think outside the box and find the greatest solution.

• Mechanical engineers who design different structures, either unbelievably large or very miniscule, or machines that travel distances to the deepest depths of the sea or very far into space, must have a great understanding of length and dimension, even when they are very hard to measure. Because engineers often come across this situation, they use trigonometry and other mathematical associations to find the closest approximations to the correct lengths and dimensions. Engineers also use trigonometry to account for vertical and horizontal mechanisms of the forces that act on certain machines, and they determine what the structure will be able to do without collapsing before it is
