Personal Statement: Finding The Best Career

My whole life I have been asked the question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and every time I would have a different answer from the previous one. When I was younger, I wanted to be a teacher, but then it started changing as I grew older from a singer to a pharmacist and now back to a teacher. Throughout high school, most of my volunteer work dealt with teaching children how to swim or being a Sunday school teacher. It would be an honored to be someone the students can look up to and someone they can turn to for help. Throughout my time in school, I have met so many wonderful teachers who have inspired me to want to be like them. I have been trying really hard to find something I really enjoy doing and I believe that being an elementary school teacher is something I can enjoy doing the rest of my life. I would love to interact with children and not only be able to teach them but also learn from them. I would really enjoy not only being able to teach the students but at the same time be influenced by them as well. Teaching is something I have experienced and would love to do for the rest of my life. A career I believe I would really enjoy doing for the rest of my life is an elementary school teacher. Ever since I was a child, I have wanted to be a teacher. Although the process of becoming a teacher takes a great deal of requirements and training, I believe that in order to be a great teacher, practice and learning is need. I hope that someday in the future I can take the responsibility of being a teacher who students can respect and look up
