In recent years, animals are used in order to make sure that products are safe enough to be used for humans. Also new effective medical treatments have been effectively developed because of animal experiments. However the tests that the animals are used are extremely painful and immoral. Although people are using animals to satisfy their own desires and do not consider the rights of animals that were sacrificed for animal experiment. Some people believe that Animal experimentation has played a huge role in enabling people to discover, prevent and cure diseases. Many diseases were found and there were numerous advantageous results from the experiments. However, there is a problem with this reasoning because the drugs or medicine that are invented by animal experimentation can respond differently in humans. According to the statistics, 92 percent of all drugs that were guaranteed safe to be used for humans and that were effective in animals, failed in human bodies because they were dangerous and did not really work.( Food and Drug Administration) Penicillin is a antibiotic agent which is commonly used in the treatment of bacterial infection. According to the article "The Discovery and Development of Penicillin." the animal models used in the discovery of Penicillin led to misleading result and it delayed the development of Penicillin (Ray). The Penicillin showed that animal experiment is not effective for human. The use of animals do not actually give people as much help as they might think because animals are obviously not exactly the same as humans. Thus, animal experimentation can mislead the discovery and people cannot rely on animal experiment as much as they …show more content…
The reaction of the humans to the drugs that are used for the animal experiment can differ from the reaction of the animals, which means that animals fail to be used as a method of developing the technique of humans' medical treatment. Moreover, there are numerous alternative methods which are proved to be more efficient than animal experimentation. Therefore, humans cannot use animals arbitrarily and try to minimize the use of animal for their own benefits. Now, it is the time for people to respect animals’ rights and find other ways instead of doing animal experimentation. People should not be selfish anymore and treat animals with

For most people there are two scenarios that come to mind when they hear animal testing. The first scenario is that scientist are torturing, neglecting and abusing the animals that are being tested on. The other scenario is that scientist are being ethical, take care of the animals and are creating life-saving medicines. This makes the use of animals in experiments a controversial topic; a topic that isn’t quite black and white when argued. There are different types of animal testing like, medical testing and cosmetic testing; one is more ethical than the other.…

Animals are used for experiments because they are easy to get rid of. When using animals to act as human displays the way it may affect the disease in their bodies does not work on human bodily functions. Diseases can’t be artificially made to reflect the original disease because scientists can cure the lab animal but it will not cure the human…

This shows that getting research from animals for humans is not always approved by the human body, even if scientists say that animals have the same traits as humans. Animals are getting harmed as they are being tested on for research and it is very cruel because the outcome of the animal is dying and by the treatment that may not work on humans it is not worth it for the animals. As a matter of fact, Animal experimentation does not need to happen there is other alternatives that can replace…

Some claim it is better to use animals as testing subjects rather than humans. However, that is one of the main areas that they are misguided in. While yes, it is good if humans can stop others from being used as test subjects, using animals as testing subjects does not help humans. Instead, there is another possibility that helps both humans and animals, and none of them have to receive pain. Despite that, since using other methods of testing can be a little more complex, many companies do not want to execute it, sticking to the old fashioned way.…

A drug tested on animals to prove if it’s safe for humans is a very risky move because all drugs affect various species differently. Lastly, do we have the right to test on these creatures? ”There is no doubt that animals experience a life… Like us, animals can feel pain and fear, but also excitement and satisfaction” (Cothran 29). Animals feel much more pain that what we think and have a life that they should be allowed to live without the intrusion of humans. Animal experimentation, one of the many injustices we still have, should be a thing of the…

Along with their opinion that animal testing is unnecessary, animal rights activists are concerned that research animals receive poor treatment and care. However, “scientists, veterinarians, physicians, surgeons, and others who do research in animal laboratories are as much concerned about the care of the animals as anyone can be” (Animal Research 8). Animal rights groups make assumptions about the treatment of animals in research labs without accurate research to back up their statements. The groups say the animals are not adequately cared for, yet in reality the researchers are always making sure the animals are treated humanely and live comfortably. Additionally, “animal research has been regulated by the federal Animal Welfare Act.…

The suffering, pain and death that animals are subject to during scientific research isn’t worth the benefits. The information gathered from an animal experiment would not result in the same outcome if it was performed on a human. There are too many variables, such as age, weight, gender that would essentially render the information invalid (Greek 56). Scientist know this however these experiments are completed. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Federal Drug Administration are some of the few agencies that are wasting animal’s lives by conducting experiments on them.…

Human bodies are can become much more affected by different chemicals that may be in these products, so testing them on animals is completely illogical because scientist may never truly see the effect that those products may have on humans. Testing on animals is an ineffective way to test products because it yields unreliable results. The scientist can never fully get a proper understanding on the effects of these products by testing them on animals. The animal’s body can not show…

Animal Testing “Ninety-two percent of experimental drugs that are safe and effective on animals fail in human clinical trials because they don’t work or are dangerous” (“Animal Experimentation Facts”). This statistic shows animal testing is too inaccurate to be used and animals are not the same as humans. Even though animals are much different than humans, there are people who think testing drugs on the animals the right thing. When a scientist is testing a new drug they will inject the animals; such as rats, fish, monkeys, etc. ; with diseases they wouldn’t naturally get and then giving them the certain drug they are testing for.…

Medical researchers try to find ways to cure for diseases such as cancer or HIV from animal experimentation. Most people would think these are important cases because they are related to our lives.
