Ramen Noddle Soup: A Short Story

The beauty behind the perfect picture of the best experience of my life has a history on how it was created. Brooklyn had welcomed many people into the home of the free. It wasn’t as easy as making Ramen Noddle Soup, but, I’ve survived the struggle to share the struggle, through the power of words. This is the story of myself, playing the role as Amelia Persad. It’s amazing how I could be able to reflect on myself that 17 years of my life has passed by, as if tomorrow had just became today. Yes, I was born in Park Chester, New York, but that’s not the whole story from top to bottom. A month later after I was born, I went to a beautiful little island called Trinidad and Tobago, to where my parents and grandparents had lived. My mother had always dreamed of the American dream: a job, a car and a beautiful home. But, she was too scared of leaving the place that made her …show more content…
Street signs and places repel the darkness, while people are shopping or just selling whatever they can to make a living. As a young child, I couldn’t take my eyes of the vivid colors, nor the interesting mascots that some store revealed. I was only so little, yet, the beauty of it all is still stuck in my mind. We came out the yellow shining taxi and as they were all taking out our luggage from the trunk of the taxi, and my grandfather whispered to my grandmother as he help her with her bags “This is our new beginning.” The weather warmed up and the celebration tone down as spring of 2000 gave us all a gentle hug and the return of the ice cream truck. My mother was working at a hospital while my father stayed home to help his parents study for their citizenship test. As go lucky as any grandfather could be, he studied and practice and was ready for the challenge, but my grandmother, my grandmother was different.
