The Beatles formed in Liverpool, England. John Lennon was in a band called the Quarry Men before The Beatles formed. When John met Paul McCartney, who was introduced through a friend, he was impressed by his talent with a guitar and asked Paul to join the band. Paul agreed to the offer. At age 14 George Harrison became the newest member. This took awhile to happen since George was so young. . Paul try to persuade John to let him join, but John didn’t give. After awhile of persistence from Paul, John finally agreed to let George audition for the band. During the early stages, the group went through many name like The Silver Beetles and The Beatals until they finally decided on The Beatles. The band also went through a few band members as well. The most popular one is that John Lennon’s wife, Yoko Ono. Apparently Ono was very intruding in The Beatles and the members, other than John, disliked that. The Beatles didn’t want their wives or girlfriends effecting their music, but Ono did that. There is an conspiracy theory that was soon to found out to be true that John and his wife Yoko Ono were heroin addicts, which affected the sound of their music. Their most psychedelic song and music video was the “Yellow Submarine”. The song described one of John’s trips on acid, a hallucinative drug. Paul was also reported as being bossy about the other members’ actions was also a reason the band split up. After all the arguing that was going on since 1966, the band finally decided what to do next. On April 10, 1970, Paul McCartney announced that he was leaving mad the whole band was finished. Paul started a band in 1973 called Wings that was very successful. George tried music but he was never very popular with his music after the band’s split up. John had a successful career. His most popular song was “Imagine”. It spoke about peace, equality, no war or hatred. The song spoke of a
