The floppy-eared beagle is a calm, kind family dog. Although they are small in size, they make up for it by their big curious and adventurous personalities. This breed of canine is part of the Hound family and require big yards as well as plenty of playtime outdoors due to their hunting nature. Without frequent healthy exercise, these dogs can get restless or worse-- hip dysplasia. This breed is very susceptible to health issues and need to be treated for carefully.
The sweet, friendly breed the Beagle was founded in England during the 1300’s. The name ‘beagle” is said to have come from french words meaning “open-throat”, which is thought to have come from the howling vocals that these hound dogs make. “The earliest dogs that were referred
