In my opinion I would have to say that the Romans would be the most ethical group that we have covered so far within the course. My reasoning behind my choice would be the way that they lived their life during that time. Still today you can find reenactments portrayed from events that occurred during this era. One that is spoke about in the text book is that of Brutus standing over the murdered body of Julius Caesar. The text states that “the drama of Roman history has provided the script for revolutions and conquests many times over. Even the collapse of Rome’s ancient empire has been compared to the decline of the British and Russian empires in the twentieth century. Ethics is defined as an area of study that deals with ideas about what is good and bad behavior a branch of philosophy dealing with what is morally right or wrong. Ethics in my mind today is how we make decisions on what we feel is important to us. What are our moral values, how do we look at different things around us. Not only is ethics used in our own personal life but it is used in everyday business. Businesses around the world develop what is called business ethics and this is what they revolve the conduct of their employees throughout the company. The Roman ethics was that of good and civil behavior and individual and collective well-being for all. This is what drew me to give the Romans my approval.
