I am reading ”The Bass,the River, and Sheila Mant” by W.D. Wetherell. This story is about a boy and he has to choose between a girl he likes and fishing. In this journal I will be questioning and. I wonder if will he choose Sheila or the bass. The first possibility is he could choose the bass.He loves fishing. He knows everything there is to know about fishing. He has spent most of his time fishing. This bass is the biggest bass he has ever seen and the bass is really strong. The narrator was in love and he was rejected. He was in love with Sheila Mant. He thought Sheila was quite pretty. He watches her when she sunbathed and when she was playing softball or at a family party. He knew her moods and wanted to be invited to one of her family's parties. He takes Sheila to the fair and releases the biggest bass he has ever caught because she thinks fishing is dumb. She dumps him for another guy. I really liked this guy I meet on my mission trip and he liked me but I had to reject him. His name is Matteo and I liked him because he is funny and adventurous. He is also really caring and sweet. When we went hiking ,before I sprained my ankle, we were talking and he found some male black widow spiders and he showed them to me even though I am terrified by spiders.He was genuinely concerned about me when i sprained my ankle and I could see that he actually cared about me. He helped me after I sprained my ankle. There were a couple problems though. One being that he lives in Texas and I live in Minnesota. Two being that he is thirteen and I am fifteen. Three being that I not allowed to date until I am sixteen. At the time of the mission trip I didn’t know that he was thirteen or that he liked me. We message over Instagram because he does not have a telephone and then he asked me out. I was blushing really hard and I had to tell him that I wasn’t allowed to date until I was sixteen.
